1 person possibly missing after house fire in Wilmington, Delaware

WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- A body of a female was recovered after a house caught fire and collapsed in Wilmington, Delaware.

The fire broke out around 4 a.m. on Saturday along the 2000 block of North Harrison Street.

Firefighters initially went inside the home to search for occupants and fight the flames, but officials say the blaze was so intense they had to leave the building.

The front portion of the house collapsed about 25 minutes later. Firefighters worked for over an hour before bringing the fire under control.

One person was reported missing after the fire, and on Saturday afternoon authorities confirmed the body of a female was found in the rubble.

However, no further details about the person's identity were immediately available.

One firefighter suffered a minor hand injury.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
